Salient characteristics:
Capable of driving 4,000 size 16d common, sinker or box nails per hour into softwoods.
Designed for safe, efficient one-hand operation.
Operate on an air pressure of 80 to 120 psi, depending upon the type of nail and the hardness of the wood.
Hold a minimum of 72 nails.
Pistol grip handle.
Trigger control.
Threaded inlet for connecting to a 3/8-inch air line.
Built-in safety device to prevent accidental discharge.
Weight 17 pounds maximum (without nails).
All moving parts provided with a suitable means of lubrication.
Oil supplied by a separate line oiler.
Marked with the manufacturer’s name or trademark so that the source of supply may be identified.
Furnished with:
Set of operating and maintenance instructions.
Illustrated parts list.
List of accessory equipment.
Workmanship. The nailer shall be free from any imperfections or defects which may impair serviceability, durability, or appearance.
Certification. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description and that the product conforms to the producer’s own drawings, specifications, standards and quality assurance practices and is the same product offered for sale in the commercial marketplace. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.
Recovered materials. The manufacturer shall utilize recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable.
Preservation, packaging, packing, and marking. Each nailer with accessory parts shall be preserved and packaged in accordance with normal commercial practice and packed to assure acceptance by common carrier and provide product protection against loss and damage during multiple shipments, handling, and storage. The shipping container shall be in compliance with National Motor Freight Classification and Uniform Freight Classification. Marking shall be in accordance with the contract or order.
