SAW, RECIPROCATING, PORTABLE, ELECTRIC, HEAVY DUTY
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this
Commercial Item Description.
Salient characteristics:
Conform to requirements of Underwriter’s Laboratories Standard No.45.
Designed for continuous heavy duty production and maintenance operations.
7/16 inch minimum length of stroke.
3200 strokes per minute minimum no load speed.
Minimum cutting capacity of : 2 inches in wood
3/8 inch in aluminum
3/16 inch in steel
All rotating parts provided with ball or roller bearings.
Closed handle containing a switch.
Operate from a 120 VAC power source.
Rated current of 3.5 amperes minimum.
Maximum weight 6 pounds.
Marked with manufacturer’s name or trademark and part number.
Furnished with a complete set of operating and maintenance instruction, an illustrated parts breakdown and a list of available accessory equipment.
Accessories and special equipment:
One angle adjusting base, adjustable 0 to 45 degrees.
Assortment of 10 blades for cutting fiberglass, wood and metal
Any special equipment and tools necessary to assure efficient operation in accordance with operating instructions.
Each saw, with all accessories, instructions, tools, etc., furnished in a carrying case.
Workmanship. The saw including all parts and accessories, shall be free from fins, burrs, rust, imperfections and any other defects which may impair serviceability, durability, or appearance.
Certification. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description and that the product conforms to the producer’s own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and is the same product offered for sale in the commercial marketplace. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.
Recovered materials. The manufacturer shall uti;ize recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable.
Packaging, packing, and marking. The items packaged, and packed in accordance with normal commercial practice and packed to assure acceptance by common carrier and provide product protection against loss and damage during multiple shipments, handling and storage. The shipping container shall be in compliance with National Motor Freight Classification and Uniform Freight Classification. Marking shall be in accordance with the contract or order.
